Jim Butler Days
May 18th – 26th, 2026
Tonopah Nevada’s 55th Annual
Jim Butler Days & Nevada State Mining Championships
This years theme
Queen of the Silver Camps
For nine days, the Queen of the Silver Camps comes alive with the spirit of the Old West and the time-honored tradition of the Nevada State Mining Championships. From the thunder of the rodeo to music drifting through desert nights, and the sound of hammers on drill steel, the town fills with laughter, dust, and celebration.
Watch the parade roll down Main Street, kick up your heels at the Friday night street dance, and gather ‘round for pancakes, cold beer, and good company. Wander the trails of the Tonopah Historic Mining Park, meet the folks who keep these traditions alive, and take in a town that still knows how to celebrate its roots.
Come for the day… or stay the whole run. Tonopah will be waiting.

Kiss A Pig Contest Reveal Party
Kiss A Pig Contest Reveal Party
The Pahrump Moose Lodge 808 proudly invites you join us for our first-ever Kiss a Pig Contest - a fun, community driven fundraiser supporting local nonprofits.
Here’s how it works:
Community members fundraise for their favorite nonprofit March 15 – April 15, and the contestant who raises the most donations earns the (adorable!) honor of kissing a pig! All funds raised stay local and directly support nonprofits serving our community.
The public is invited to join us for our reveal party/donation spaghetti dinner on Sunday, April 26th from 4pm to 6:30pm where we will present checks to participating nonprofits and see who gets to kiss the pig!

Amargosa Days & Parade
Amargosa Days & Parade
The annual Amargosa Days celebration is a weekend full of live music, demonstrations and activities, food, and fireworks after dark, as well as “the shortest parade in the world”.
The parade begins at 9 a.m. Saturday and includes emergency vehicles, classic cars and other local notables. It follows a route about 800 yards long from the town’s fire station, past its community center on Farm Road, and ends in Amargosa Valley Park, where the festivities are held.
The parade lasts about 20 minutes.
All the activities are free. Festival-goers only pay for any food or souvenirs they might purchase at the vendor booths.
